Tour Plan
Aswan Day Tour: Guided Exploration
In the morning, we will transfer you from your hotel to Luxor Train Station to catch the first-class train to Aswan. Upon arrival, your guided tour will begin with visits to the top attractions in Aswan:
Aswan High Dam
- Built between the 1960s and 1970s, the Aswan High Dam played a crucial role in shaping Egypt's culture and economy. It is one of the most important engineering projects in modern history, controlling the Nile's annual flooding and providing hydroelectric power.
Unfinished Obelisk
- The Unfinished Obelisk is one of the largest obelisks ever attempted, but it was never completed. While being carved from the bedrock, it cracked and was abandoned. It was intended to be a monumental piece to honor Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) as part of the grand Karnak Temple.
Lunch Break
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Aswan, offering you a taste of traditional Egyptian cuisine.
Philae Temple
- The mystical Philae Temple, made of celestial stones, tells the sacred myth of Osiris, Horus, and Isis. Built by King Nectanebo I between 380–362 BC, it is one of the last temples constructed during the Ptolemaic period, preserving the ancient stories of Egypt's gods.
- After your visit, we will take you back to the train station for your return trip to Luxor, where you will be transferred back to your hotel
