Day 1: Departure to El Minya & Visit Tuna El Gabal
- Morning Departure: Your personal Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo in the morning. Enjoy a comfortable, 4-hour drive in a private deluxe air-conditioned vehicle to El Minya.
- Arrival in El Minya: Upon arrival, begin your tour by visiting the ancient plain where Pharaoh Akhenaton was inspired to build his city of Akhetaten (modern-day Amarna). This was the center of his religious reforms and the birth of monotheism in Egypt.
- Lunch: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in El Minya.
- Tuna El Gabal: After lunch, continue your visit to Tuna El Gabal, an ancient archaeological site. This area served as a necropolis for the ancient city of Hermopolis and as a worship center for the god Thoth, the deity of wisdom.
