Established in 1901 by Khedive Abbas Helmy II, the Egyptian Museum is one of the oldest archaeological museums in the Middle East, located in the heart of downtown Cairo. This iconic museum showcases a fascinating collection of artifacts spanning from the Predynastic Period to the Graeco-Roman Era (5500 BC - 364 AD), spread across two floors.

The museum houses some of Egypt’s most significant treasures, including the complete burials of Yuya and Thuya, Psusennes I, and the treasures of Tanis. It also features the renowned Narmer Palette, which marks the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under a single ruler.

Visitors can marvel at the legendary statues of the great Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the masterminds behind the Giza pyramids.
