3. Ben Ezra Synagogue
- Explore the Ben Ezra Synagogue, dating back to the 9th century, built within the shell of a 4th-century Christian church. This historic site is believed to be where the prophet Jeremiah gathered the Jewish people after the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in the 6th century. It was later restored in the 12th century and is key to understanding the North African Jewish community's history from the 11th to 13th centuries.
